This is such a beautiful quote from a beautiful man. Generosity is known to be openhandedness or kindness, but pride is dignity and honor or respect to one’s self. They say the meaning of pride have gone been lost in today’s generation but undoubtedly present during the Depression Era.

Generosity is giving or sharing to others more than you can afford.

Pride is somewhat refusal of help, or refusing to receive help that you need.

If a man needs $10 for lunch and you give him $50, that is generosity.

However, if the receiver takes only $10 and returns the $40 to the man, it is pride.
